A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Saturday, May 13 at The Mane Suite in downtown Taylorsville. Alexander County Commissioner Ronnie Reese, Taylorsville Mayor George Holleman, Taylorsville Councilwoman Kim Brown, Alexander County Economic Development Corporation staff, family, and friends were in attendance to celebrate the opening of Katie Mellon’s new salon, which is located at 128 Main Avenue Drive in Taylorsville.
Mellon said the salon’s team of stylists and colorists are true hair enthusiasts who are dedicated to the art of hair care. Whether it’s a simple cut, a new hairstyle, or a change in color, the experienced professionals at The Mane Suite can help you achieve your desired look.
Mellon graduated from Alexander Central High School in 2017, obtained her cosmetology license from Caldwell Community College, and then began work at a local salon where she gained valuable experience.
“I am so thankful for the opportunities that Alexander County has offered me,” Mellon said. “I am excited to open my own business here where I can serve my community.”
She said The Mane Suite places high importance on customer satisfaction, as well as the safety and well-being of both clients and staff members.
