A good crowd attended the ribbon cutting and grand opening at the new Bethlehem Ice Cream Shoppe on Saturday, June 17. Alexander County Commissioner Larry Yoder welcomed the new business to the community. Guests enjoyed free hotdogs, delicious ice cream, live music, and fellowship.
Located at 9300 NC Highway 127 beside the Dollar General store, Bethlehem Ice Cream Shoppe is open seven days a week from 12:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Owners Chris London and Mark Wagner said they are excited to provide a local ice cream shop where families and friends can enjoy a sweet treat together.
“We have 40 flavors of Hershey’s ice cream products,” said London, “Come by and enjoy a scoop or two and let the kids enjoy the playground area.”
In addition to ice cream, the shop offers sorbet, Italian ice, and sherbet, as well as ice cream cakes, cotton candy, jellybeans, sodas, and more.
The store managers are Bryan Hollifield and Courtney Williams, whose daughter, Charlee, is the face featured on the shop’s logo.
