A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Friday, February 2, 2024, at the new Heritage Sandwich & Deli, located at 554 NC Hwy. 16 South in Taylorsville. Alexander County Commissioner Marty Pennell, Town of Taylorsville Mayor George Holleman, and Town Council Members Kim Brown, Eric Bumgarner, and Tamara Odom participated in the ribbon cutting to welcome the new business to the community.
Owned by Michael and Debbie Gerber, the new shop offers freshly baked bread and quality Amish meats and cheeses which are used to make their classic homemade sandwiches. The store also has homemade desserts, as well as candy, jams, and much more.
Heritage Sandwich & Deli is open Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and closed on Sunday and Monday. For more information, call 828-352-9900 or check them out on Facebook.
