A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Friday, September 26, at Redbird Ridge Estate in Alexander County. The event venue and retreat center is located at 171 NC Highway 127.
Nestled at the base of Barrett Mountain, Redbird Ridge is a scenic 72-acre estate featuring a versatile and elegant venue ideal for weddings, retreats, parties, and other events, boasting stunning mountain views for outdoor options. As part of their non-profit retreat center, owners Alisa and Daron Dwyer plan to open a meditation and prayer path this fall, which will be available to guests and the community.
“We absolutely fell in love with the property. It provides the peaceful seclusion and strong sense of community we wanted for a family homestead, while still being a county with a lot of untapped potential,” Alisa said. “Its proximity to many larger cities like Hickory, Asheville, Charlotte, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and even Raleigh makes it very appealing for a vast range of guests. It’s an easy and beautiful drive.”
From personal day retreats to overnight stays and weekend or week-long retreats and camps, Redbird Ridge tailors their space to meet your needs. The event space can host groups of 150, and there are multiple spaces for smaller groups or breakout sessions. There is comfortable lodging on the estate for up to 24 guests in the private cabin or the farmhouse, as well as vast space for camping options for those wanting a more rustic experience.
Outdoor areas like the meadows, the pavilion, the pond, the terrace, and the mountain provide a backdrop for guest activities and celebrations. The staff at Redbird Ridge will work with guests to make their time on the estate exactly what they need.
