STONY POINT — A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Friday, April 12 at Sarah’s Bark N Bubbles Grooming in Stony Point. Alexander County Commissioner Larry Yoder participated in the ribbon cutting and welcomed the new business to the county.
Sarah’s Bark N Bubbles Grooming is a pet grooming facility that provides fast, loving, and comfortable grooming for your pets. Owned and operated by Sarah Burgess, the business started in 2019 as a mobile grooming service and is now located at 8784 NC Highway 90 East in Stony Point.
“I’ve appreciated the loyalty of my customers over the years,” said Burgess. “Even though the mobile truck is gone, I’m looking forward to what this opportunity holds for my clients and me.”
After graduating from Alexander Central High School in 2015, Burgess became certified in Pet Grooming from Wilkes Community College. She worked two years in a veterinarian’s office prior to starting her own business.
“I love my community and decided that opening a grooming salon in Stony Point would be a wonderful opportunity,” said Burgess.
