Thursday, January 26, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. — “Using WordPress to Build Your Website” — A WordPress blog can add to your existing website or become your business website. For small business owners without the time to learn how to use CSS or HTML, or the money to hire a graphics designer and web developer, WordPress blogs offer an inexpensive method to get your company’s name and stories published through the internet. Business blogs provide your small business with a chance to share your expertise and knowledge with a larger audience. Publishing stories and interesting content through a blog is a powerful companion to your Facebook page, LinkedIn profile and Twitter stream. Thursday, February 23, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. — “LinkedIn 1.0: Building Your LinkedIn Profile” — Using LinkedIn to Contribute, Collaborate, Connect, and Cram (research) is different than just “having a profile.” In this three-hour workshop, participants learn to set up their profile, fine-tune their profile to create maximum marketing impact, and develop strategies for using LinkedIn to create networks and build partnerships to grow business. Tuesday, March 28, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. — “Your Small Business Taxes” — Gain a solid understanding of taxes required for small business owners and develop the best tax strategy for your business. Tuesday, April 25, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. — Mobile Apps and Cloud-Based Tools for Small Business — Small business owners must wear many hats and continually look for ways to operate more efficiently and effectively. This three-hour seminar reviews small business apps such as Dropbox, Google Drive, Evernote, Eventbrite, and more, and explains how small business owners and can use them to work more productively. In addition, this session will discuss cloud-based applications including Google Site, Microsoft Office 365, Salesforce, and more, and demonstrate how many businesses are using them to share information internally and communicate to external customers more effectively. Tuesday, May 23, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. — “Using YouTube and Videos for Your Small Business” — The use of online videos, primarily those on YouTube, is making a huge impact on the way we do business today. Videos are seen by millions of people, and business owners use them to make an impact online and bring customers to their stores. This seminar shows small business owners how to set up their YouTube account and make great videos with a small business budget. You will learn tactics that will work best for your business.
